A New Way to Help HSBC Animals

Interact with and Entertain Our Cats from Your PC

iPet Companion is a novel program that lets you remotely control a robotic toy in a playroom full of adoptable cats from any PC. Try it out at the Oregon Humane Society.

We don't have an iPet yet because the cost is a bit prohibitive, but we can't imagine a cooler way to interact with our adoptable cats and keep them exercised. And it's not all fun and games: statistics show that shelters with an iPet have drastically increased adoption rates because of the exposure their pets receive.

So, want to help us get one and improve our already stellar adoption rates?  It's easy: click the "Help Us Help Them" animation in the corner of the iPet live feed (after you're finished playing with those kittens) and follow the simple instructions.

With a little bit of luck and a lot of support, we can introduce this cutting-edge technology to the HSBC! 

So I did go and play wif da kittehs. It iz lots of fun and I could seed how dis would gets more people in to look at da kittehs in real life too. Dem robots costs $5200. Dats a lotta kitteh foods. So u can seed why dey iz askin fur us to halp dem by donatin. (I gonna donates soon az human2 turns herz back and I can gets herz wallet.) To donate go to Oregon Humane Society and play wif da kittehs (u will need to download/install microsoft's silverlight (or wotever it iz called -- but it a safe program to use) and when u are dun either click on da Help Us Help Them image. Tucker iz a real loverboy who would make sum1 a very nice pet indeed. Himz did purr da entire time Human2 did visit wif him (turn up ur volume and watch da video). Friday when Human2 did drop off donashuns at da Humane Society of Berks County in Reading, PA, herz wented in and played wif several kitties. Among dem wuz Lamar, a beary sweet boy. We wuz gonna using dis post to halp he get a forever home, but we don't have to da HSBC website sez ADOPTED (dis wot der site sez: ADOPTED!!! 32354 Lamar) !!! YAY fur u Lamar. So we just gonna show him off.

Human2 tooked sum fings down to humane society of berks county tonite & wented in to look at da kitties waiting fur forever homes. One kitty, Molly, did paw at da glass to sez hello. First one paw den both paws. So human2 took da bait & gotted herz out to play. Soon az dey wuz in da adoption room (where people can visit privately wif kitties dey finkin of adoptin) Molly plopped down & rolled ovah fur belly rubs! Herz really enjoyed dem belly rubs & butt scritches.

Human2 had tooked sum fun foam balls in & herz and Molly did play soccer for qwite awhile. Molly really seemed to likes dem balls (but like a good kitty would not play wif it when da camera was out -- MOL).

Furry Fridays at Berks Humane Society

Last Friday ma humanz wented down to da Humane Society for der Furry Friday artist opening. While dey were der dey played wif a sweet lil tuxedo kitteh wot wuz so cute and sweet. Herz  even gibbed ma humanz kisses. We finks herz really wanted to comes home wif ma humanz.

Here be sum wunnerful pikshures of herz playin & playin & just being cutes. We needs to check but I bets herz alreddy been adopted. But der iz loads of precious kittehs at da Humane Society who wants forever & ever homes.

We played soccer wif da cutest kittehs in da werld today at da Humane Society of Berks County. We took sum new toys one of which wuz a Kitty Cuz and dem lil kittehs sure did likes dat toy. Human2 did meets dis adorable lil kitten down at da Humane Society of Berks County when herz wented down der on Friday mornin to halp out wif da kittehs. He iz so cutes playin wif da toys Human2 tooks along to donating from us (doggies gotted sum good noms too).

He lubbed dis toy it iz da Catfisher Whipper Snapper Wand Cat Toy wot we gotted from CatToys.com az donashuns fur us to takes to da shelter.

We donated a blue one of des turbo scratchers for da utter adoption rooms. We finks all kittehs should hab a chance to play wif dis wunnerful toy! Sum utter nice purrson bringed in more scratcher refills fur dem kittehs to hab dis green one back in der room too!

June iz Adopt A Shelter Cat Month

Okai, i nose you haz alreddy seed ma posty about dat adordable kitteh Socks over at da Humane Society of Berks County....so why isn't herz adopted yet? It iz Adopt a Shelter Cat Month affer all!

Can no adopting just yet, but still wanna do sumfing fur u local shelter kitties? Get dem a case of scratchers from ImperialCat.com dey will lub u fur it n u will feels good doing sumfin fur kitties wot iz less fortunates den u.

Halp Holly Get a Forever & Ever Home Plz

Dis bootiful kitteh iz named Holly. Herz iz 6 years old. herz wuz handed over to da Humane Society of Berks County on 3/21/2010 cause herz owner did hab too many kittehs to cares fur.

Herz iz a brown tabby wif white face, paws & hind leggies. Herz iz sooooo affekshunate & lubs being petted & groomed. See fur ur self in dis video.

Herz iz microchipped, spayed & up to dates on all herz shots. In utter werds herz iz reddy to moove rite in to a noo furever & ever home.

Herz iz beary curious az all kittehs iz (see video) and just da sweetest fing human2 did play wif herz fur over half an hour. (Would hab been more but herz needed to go to da ARL az well.)
