Bad Squirrel iz Back

The squirrel was back this morning. I had to run from window to window keeping an eye on him. He even came up on the porch to taunt me some more. I would love to gets my paws on that thieving rodent with the bushy, busy tail.


My tail was whipping back and further so hard it would slap the window with a loud thud.

How dare he come up on my porch and bother me! I goona get you, you squirrel.


I had to bouncy between windows every time he went around the side of the house.


I see you standing all tall like a statue of a squirrel, but I know you is a real squirrels.


There you are. Hey all humans come quick. Look at this. That Squirrel is back.

Just Ducky: A Tale of a Boy and His Duck

We Twitter cats were talking about the Kong Ducky refillable catnip toy (used to be known as the Dr. Noys Duck -- at least that is what it was when my humans first bought it for me).

My friend @Manxington gots a Ducky and he just loves it. I remembered having one and sent the staff down to dig it out of storage. (When you are as spoiled as me you have to put somethings away every once in awhile or my stuff would take over the house.)

Well, we had success and the humans found me ducky toy. I needed fresh catnips for it and it was late so I could not play with it that night, but I did gets to play with it the next day. Oh I almost forgots how much I liked my lil yellow ducky. I did miss you! If you don't have a Ducky all your own you will want to go get one!

Terrible Horrible Things at Walmart

Human2 came home tonight form picking up a few things at Walmart and told us about a horrible, terrible thing she overheard someone talking about. She was so upset and so sad because there was nothing she could do. She wanted to all the animal police, but there was no way to prove something she just overheard.

This lady was talking with an older couple telling them that one of the kittens died. Then she goes on to say how some guy (don’t know if it was husband, boyfriend, or kid) had gotten angry and picked up the kitten and threw it against the doorframe. It feel to the floor and died.

How could anyone treat a helpless animal like this? This person that did this has a real problem and should not be allowed around any animals or children – EVER!

Human2 was so upset by it she ran home and gave all us kitties a big hug and a squeeze just for being!

The Shopping Site for Pet Owners

I am sure you have all used shopping comparison sites before. Did you know that most of them are pay per click? That means the stores listed had to pay to be listed (heck they have to pay every time their link is clicked). What does that mean to shoppers looking for the widest selection of cat toys and cat care products? Basically, that you are missing out on a lot of stuff and only seeing what that site is being paid to show you.

So how can a kitty owner find a one-stop shopping site for all their kitty cat needs? Check out ShopWiki, like Google and other search engines they scour the web looking for stores to bring you the most comprehensive shop listings out there. They really do offer up the biggest list of stores for you to compare prices. We only wish they allowed users to rate the stores, because price is not everything and it would be nice to see customer reviews before buying.

While we are partial to shopping for cats, that is not all they have over at ShopWiki. So whether you are shopping for dog products, small pet supplies, stuff for your birds or even garden gnomes you’ll be able to find it over at ShopWiki.

Spending Caturday Out in the Yard

I had a great outdoor adventure today. Gots to play in the yard with the humans, eat some nice grasses, see some birdies and loverly flowers. Human2 got down on the ground with me for this cool photo (I did not know she could get down let alone back up again).


As you can see by the photo I was adorable in the yard, but thinking about being bad. I am not known as Bad Big Boy Boris for nothing!

These are some of the loverly flowers I got to look at while human2 filled up my birdie feeder for me. That way I can watch the birdies from my window when I am not allowed out to see them.




This is me getting dangerously close to the alley. I am not allowed back there. A squirrel ran across the alley as this picture was being taken (or so human2 told me after the fact -- she did a good job of distracting me otherwise I would have run after it and got yelled at and be in BIG troubles). I am not allowed on the front porch either but I sneaked up there for a little bit too.


The neighbor kitty was out today too. She was wearing a pretty harness. My humans tried to get me to wear one but I fought tooth and claw to not wear it. Turned out I was too big the the biggest kitty harness any way. They threatened a medium sized doggy harness, but have not attempted that yet.

Of course I had to eat some grasses while I was out there. Why go out if you are not gonna have some grass?

Lovin' My Undercover Mouse Cat Toy

I just love the undercover mouse cat toy that my humans got me. I was very interested in it from the beginning when Human2 was putting it together for me. She set it down on the floor in front of me and I just turned my head a little with a confused look on my face as if to say, "what am I supposed to do with that?"

Then she turned it on! My head went round and round following the "mouse" under the yellow cover. Then once I got brave enough I pounced! I got it, but it gots away from me. So I took another leap and my front legs went under the cover too. I tried hard to gets that "mouse", but it always got away. There were times when I was able to get it and chews on it a bit (note: tell humans to by extra wands for this fun, fun toy).

I have had the undercover mouse automatic cat toy for a little while and I does not appear to br losing interest in it at all. In fact, I sits in front of the table the humans set it on and pest to have it down and turned on. That first night I played with it for over 2.5 hours! (That is a record for me!)

For me this is so much better than the regular Panic Mouse (but my sisters like the regular one, which is good because I will not let the other kitties play with this new one!) I give this toy two paws up!

Kitties Helping Other Kitties

It is so nice to see so many kitties on the internets helping out other kitties. A little while ago I posted about sending my human out to donate a few items to rescue kitties and today I saw Daisy the Curly Cat's post about lending a helping hand to shelter kitties. Daisy gave kitties waiting for their forever homes treats and toys.

And then there is Romeo the Cat who sets a goal and donates cash collected directly to animal shelters and rescues.

The cats who rule over at Twitter get together for pawties and help raise money too. It is lots of fun and you can win prizes while helping animals who are not as fortunate as we are.

You might ask what can one kitty do, but there is a lot and every little bit counts. With the overwhelming evidence against her, Harriet was tried and convicted of first degree dog toy murder. During the trial additional bodies were discovered and further evidence of a serial killer in the making was presented. She was sentence to life under house arrest. Officer Nacho was allowed to continue to play with his toys. Officer Duffy was promoted to head of Kitty CSI. Case closed. (Side note: murderous kittehs can enjoy a Mr. Flea of their own too.)

The Panic Mouse Cat Toy

I was minding my own business trying to eat my fresh catnip leaf (the humans brought it home from the greenhouse today). The catnip was a nice treat after I helped the humans put away all the plants they broughts home.

I was too tired to play, but since the tabbies played with it I thought I had to go protect my Panic Mouse toy from them. (Can't have them enjoying themselves too much!)

I was protecting my garden this morning. The humans do not allow me outside very often but sometimes when they are outside working in the garden I am allowed outside too.

Playing Star Trek Toys with the Human

I got to play with my Star Trek communicator today with Human2. She came home with a few more Star Trek goodies and I jumped up to see them. Then we played together a little bit. (I got my communicator badge the other day when I jumped up and grabbed one from her pile and ran with it. It happened to be one she had tons of so I was allowed to keep it and now it is mine! You see I have this thing for bags and there just happens to be a Star Trek toy inside this particular bag is all.)

Boy Rubber Bands Is Fun

I brought a rubber band that I found into the living room to Human1 today and she took it from me. Then tonight I heard her snap it on her arm where she tried to hide it from me. I got so excited she decided to play with me a bit. She would snap it across the room and I would chase after it and get all crazy. I was even allowed to plays with it and chew on it a little before it was tooken away from me.

Saturday I sent my human off to Petco during the kitty adoption days to drop off a nice litterbox, two scoops (insert cereal joke here), and a cool CD to calm the kitties who have to travel to and from the adoption days until they get their forever homes. The kitties are helped by the fine folks over at The CatWorks. (These peoples LOVES kittehs and it shows.)




My human said they really appreciated the donation and seeing the pictures of me saying goodbye to the litterbox before it was taken over.

Squirrel Watching With Boris

Boris' favorite spot is the front window looking out and watching the world go by. His human servants placed a birdfeeder in his line of sight just for him to make that little slice of of the world more interesting for him.

Today he was fascinated by the squirrel hanging out on the feeder. And boy did he want to get him.

As you can see by the images he is intently watching that darned squirrel. Below is a video of the big ole squirrel hunter in action.

Boris' bird feeder is the Heritage Wild Bird Feeder from Petzone (now OurPets). Every good kitty needs a hobby like bird watching.

I Was a BAD Boy Today

I was allowed outside today and made a run for it. Now I am not allowed out ever again (I know that's not true, but it still drives me nuts).

I was out with my human #2 and being good by her feet when I spotted a squirrel across the street. I man a mad dash to the front of the house and got all the way to the top of the steps before I stopped. Boy was she mad when she caught up to me. I had to go in and wasn't allowed back out all day!

All The Fuss Over a Place to Poop

We are in the middle of a litter box war and I don’t mean Boris against the three girls (although that does sometimes happen here). No, we are talking about the ridiculous lawsuit that the makers of the littermaid box, Saton, Inc., has brought against OurPets and a few other makers of self-cleaning litterboxes. As if their product is all that ingenious. It is really just a glorified rake attached to a motor with a sensor. Anyone with a soldering gun and a nearby Radio Shack could have come up with it. So what if someone else comes along and makes another one.

You know what their problem really is? They are ticked off that someone came along and improved on their idea. Their egos are bruised and they can’t handle the competition. So now they have to squash the little guy under their huge corporate heal before they are exposed for the uncaring conglomerate that they are.

Case in point. Salton makes one pet item. OurPets only makes pet products. Who is going to know what cats need more? Who is going to listen to their customers and make changes based on that feedback? OurPet’s that’s who! (We know that from experience. Boris has a SmartScoop box and we had some issues early on, but were assured they were making changes in future boxes. We even had our motor replaced without a hassle! That is more than I can say for my friend who went through two littermaids and not once did they offer to replace it under their warranty.)

We are very happy with our SmartScoop. It is well made, works and the company stands behind it. OurPets is a company that cares about pets and their people and they deserve our support through this legal mess.
