Interact with and Entertain Our Cats from Your PC

iPet Companion is a novel program that lets you remotely control a robotic toy in a playroom full of adoptable cats from any PC. Try it out at the Oregon Humane Society.

We don't have an iPet yet because the cost is a bit prohibitive, but we can't imagine a cooler way to interact with our adoptable cats and keep them exercised. And it's not all fun and games: statistics show that shelters with an iPet have drastically increased adoption rates because of the exposure their pets receive.

So, want to help us get one and improve our already stellar adoption rates?  It's easy: click the "Help Us Help Them" animation in the corner of the iPet live feed (after you're finished playing with those kittens) and follow the simple instructions.

With a little bit of luck and a lot of support, we can introduce this cutting-edge technology to the HSBC! 

So I did go and play wif da kittehs. It iz lots of fun and I could seed how dis would gets more people in to look at da kittehs in real life too. Dem robots costs $5200. Dats a lotta kitteh foods. So u can seed why dey iz askin fur us to halp dem by donatin. (I gonna donates soon az human2 turns herz back and I can gets herz wallet.) Hangin Wif Da Foster Sisfurs

Ok so I did not really "hang" wif da foster sisfur, more like herz butted into ma business. I wuz watchin birdies out ma window when all of da sudden dat PK wuz up der rite aside me. Pfffffft.

Yesterday I gotted da whole upstairs all to ma self cause da fosters gotted a skeered of da big sucky fing and hided in da basement. Human1 tried to makes dem come up to meet JB Hippo but dat did not werk to good and off dey went to hide again.

So human2 had to play wif ma Neko Flies kittenator wif dem to unspook dem affer dey comed out of hidin (dis time in a closet upstairs --- silly girls). And herz played wif dem again tonight when herz gotted home from werk. Wot am I? Chopped liver? O now I iz hungry...

I did gets to play fishy wishy wif human2 fur awhiles --- well until da fosters poked der noses into to dat too!

Today Iz ADOPT da Interwebs Day from Petfinder

Ok so everybuddy probably seed my bloggy bout dat utter cutie patootie wot needs adopting i did da utter day. So i will get right to da heart of da matter. We needs peeples to adopt kitties.

Here are two adorable kitties wot were just at da One by One adoption day on caturday & dey wuz no adopted (makes dis kitteh beary sads).

Dis duo iz a bonded Mother/Daughter pair so it would be PAWSUM to gets dem adopted togetter. Der names are Drizzle and PreciousKat dey iz bootiful brown torbies.

 You gonna seed more of des girls cause we gonna be der foster fambly startin tomorrow! But we doz hope dey finds a foverer n ever home real soons.

Az da pikshure will show u we really liked diz orangicle kitteh named Sandy. He a sweet, active young kitty wot really needs a fambly all hiz own. We knows he will find one soon cause he so sweets.

Visit Wif Peanut & Deliverin Donations

Human2 did go ovah to visit Peanut dat sweet kitteh wot wuz shot and dat we all pulled togetter to halp Peanut wif herz BIG vet bill.

Human2 did takes dem a wunnerful big check fur $1210 from all u wunnerful, wunnerful anipals. FANKS U.

Like Kiki, Peanut iz not out of da woods yet. Der recoveries won't be certain until February and dey both run da risk of losin da leg wot haz des bad injuries.

Peanut comed out of her cage to say howdy to human2. Herz iz a BIG sweet heart. Gibbin H2 nosetaps & cheek rubs all ovah da place. Boy did herz lub chin scritches and rubs behind da ears.

Peanut not too happy about da flashy box, but happy fur visits.

Peanuts owies up close. Makes my sad.

We did gib Peanut all da same goodies we gibbed Kiki Last night...comfy bed, blankie, warm cuddle pal, sum toys & we did gets her a Kritter Kondo too. Peanut did play wif one of da catnip toys until human2 did takes it away frum herz cause H2 did not wants Peanut hurtin herself. Herz did bunny kick and lub dat toy. I sure hopes herz gets better qwik so herz can play wif dem toys.

Visit Wif Kiki

Human2 wented to visit dat sweet lil kitty, Kiki wot wuz shot a while back. Herz doin ok but dem doctors not knows iffen dey will hab to remove da leg yet or not.

Herz wuz out of herz cage walkin around a lil bit while human2 wuz der. Herz getz around okie dokie. But boy does herz hab a big owie.

Such a cutie patootie.

Dat iz one heck of an owie.

Human2 did take ovah sum prezzies fur Kiki. We did gets her a comfy bed, blankie, warm cuddle pal, sum toys & most importantly we did gets her a Kritter Kondo. Wif da kondo herz will be able to go outside again and stay close to home safe and sound!

Kiki's mom wuz beary eggsited about gettin a Kondo for Kiki, but I finks Kiki gonna need a lil more time to get used to it away from strange peeple like human2.

Kiki did check out all her prezzies, but human2 did not wanna skeer wif da flashy box too much, but we did gets some pikshurs so u can seed how herz iz doin.

It iz understandable how herz could be a skeered of strangers now dat dis haz happened. I hopes da fun lubbin, kitteh wot acts like a doggy comes back soon.

Molly Needs a Forever Home

Human2 tooked sum fings down to humane society of berks county tonite & wented in to look at da kitties waiting fur forever homes. One kitty, Molly, did paw at da glass to sez hello. First one paw den both paws. So human2 took da bait & gotted herz out to play. Soon az dey wuz in da adoption room (where people can visit privately wif kitties dey finkin of adoptin) Molly plopped down & rolled ovah fur belly rubs! Herz really enjoyed dem belly rubs & butt scritches.

Human2 had tooked sum fun foam balls in & herz and Molly did play soccer for qwite awhile. Molly really seemed to likes dem balls (but like a good kitty would not play wif it when da camera was out -- MOL).
