Who Wouldn't Want This?

Boy He Has Grown....
I know he is still a littl guy but since we have gotten him he has grown quite a bit. Now that he is getting around better [no more falling on his face with every shakey step], he has become quite the little killer!
He loves that mouse! Carries it around by the tail [and it gets under his feet and trips him up].
The two people who were thinking of taking him have since backed out now that his is getting closer to a time when he could leave us.

Isn't he a cutey?
He is so little and so cute....I am afraid we are falling in love with little Boris [as in Karloff....but sometimes as in Badenov ....you know from Bullwinkle ....and cause he is a sometime BAD-E-NUF!] Yes something that little and adorable can still be bad :)

He Wants Out!
We are keeping Boris away from the other cats [and they don't like being penned out of THEIR living room [we have 3 other cats all around 12 years old --- they do not much like a newbie in the house!]
We are keeping them separate until he is old enough for his first vet visit, shots and blood work. We don't want to give the old ones anything.
He is still sleeping in his crate and we watch him closely in the living room, but have needed to block it off from the rest of the house.

How old?
We needed to figure out how old he was. According to the references I was using he would have been around 4 weeks old [he was close to a pound when we weighed him], but I think it was more like three weeks old [he was just so tiny and still needed us to help with everything! --- I do mean everything.]
He is doing great. Eating off the bottle just fine. He actually seems to enjoy the KMR. Luckily I have a roommate who is off work and can take care of him and make sure he gets his regular feedings. [Although I don't think work would mind him in his crate.]

What Now?
The biggest challenge was knowing what to do next. I turned to a yahoo group called Cats and Kittens Discussion Group
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/catsandkittens/
They pointed me to a great reference on kitten rescue
http://www.kittenrescue.org/
At least now I knew what to feed the little guy [they also helped with sexxing the kitten so I now know it is a boy].
We have called the rescue groups in the are and they are all full. So it is up to us to take care of him until he can be adopted [two people have shown interest].

New Kitten Arrives
My neighbor scooped up a ktten from a house he was cleaning out. He's girlfriend's family would not keep it [their rottweiler wanted to eat it and their granddaughter is too young to understand how to be nice to a kitty].
He was going to take it to the Humane Society, I feared for the kitten at the Humane Society since I knew it would require hand feeding and other special needs until it it old enough to adopt. And I knew they would just put it down.
So we took it in.
